While the Sullivan’s Crossing cast films the next season, I had a chance to sit down with Meghan Ory who plays Cal’s sister Sedona. This marks my third interview with a Sullivan’s Crossing star. It was so much fun to learn more about her and the TV series filmed in Halifax where I was born!
Sullivan’s Crossing
Meghan’s first episodes on Sullivan’s Crossing involved serious health issues for Sedona, including seizures. That’s not a typical way to meet your new co-stars! But Meghan said, “one of the fun parts of acting is doing the research.”
Did you know that Meghan auditioned to play Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill? She was destined to work with Chad Michael Murray!
Meghan loves playing Chad Michael Murray’s sister, but she was more excited to talk about Lindura who plays Sydney Shandon. “We have a fantasy [that] Sydney will realize she needs a therapist and then she’ll go to Sedona. Obviously she’s the best therapist even though her life is a mess too.”
I knew that Meghan and Lindura were friends, but I didn’t know how it started. As the executive producer, Meghan handpicked Lindura to play her best friend in the Hallmark movie Believe in Christmas before they worked together on Sullivan’s Crossing. Meghan said she’s so proud of Lindura’s lead role in this year’s Christmas movie, Merry Memories.

Meghan and I also unpacked how her co-stars are interconnected, including Chad Michael Murray, Robert Buckley and Jesse Metcalfe across One Tree Hill, Chesapeake Shores and John Tucker Must Die.
Hallmark
“When I did Chesapeake Shores, I was always pregnant so I never had the chance to do Hallmark movies while I was not shooting. Now I have more time. I never realized how big Christmas was for my mom!”
Meghan’s latest Hallmark movie is The Spirit of Halloween and she gushed about the extras’ costumes. “It was the same immense amount of attention to detail in the background with a Halloween theme. It’s not spooky, scary Halloween. It’s fun, festive Halloween. It made me want to up my Halloween game.”

The Hallmark queen was very humble about being a power couple with John Reardon. Her husband stars in Hudson & Rex. Meghan emphasized that organization and scheduling are super important for two actors raising kids.
Many actors intentionally look plain on Sullivan’s Crossing, but Meghan’s always stunning on red carpets. I had to ask about her haircare routine! Meghan loves the salon brand Kérastase and she added that a hairstylist on the Sullivan’s Crossing set recommended K18’s hair serum.
As we wait for Maggie and Cal’s wedding on Sullivan’s Crossing, you can watch Meghan Ory in the new Hallmark movie The Spirt of Halloween.
