In case it wasn’t clear when I blogged about going back to Disney World, I’m proud to share that I’m a kid at heart. Toys “R” Us shares that sentiment and wants Canadians to share stories on social media about taking an oath to never grow up.
Where would the retail chain be if parents hit a certain age and decided to abandon their childhood fantasies and stop playing with toys for good?
To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Toys “R” Us is going all out. They’ve partnered with Transat Holidays, AIR MILES®, Lego and Mattel to offer Canadian shoppers major promotions and host exciting events for kids of all ages. Visit www.toysrus.ca/events for more details.
I can’t help but wonder if the Toys “R” Us campaign was inspired by Avril Lavigne’s Here’s To Never Growing Up song. It’s a really catchy anthemic tune by a Canadian artist who has matured in the public eye without losing her youthful spirit. Feel free to start singing Radiohead at the top of your lungs.
If you’re on board with the movement, then you might fancy purchasing a retro toy for your collection. At this stage in life, your toy collection is like Pinterest—it’s one more thing to curate and put on display.
Lisa Tant says “you may look like Barbie, but you’ve got to be G. I. Joe underneath,” so it may be time to pay a visit to your local Toys “R” Us to glean inspiration for your career.
If you need a new Halloween costume, board game or action figure, pop over to Toys “R” Us to join the fun and celebrate!
