
Being weird was normal at Centauri Summer Arts Camp. In my exit email at EA, I said I loved our creative coworkers because they reminded me of my friends at arts camp with more technical skills. It’s hard to find an environment like that.
It’s been 9 years since I published my first blog post!
11 months before that, I joined Twitter. That was my first real introduction to social media after Facebook. Twitter let me easily share what’s happening and connect with people all over the world, beyond my immediate circle of family and friends. It came naturally to me and I loved it.
Looking back on my previous blog anniversary posts, I still feel the same way about Hot On The Street. It’s my piece of the Internet that I can proudly call my own. What’s more, it’s not just a website or my Instagram handle — it’s a brand with a visual identity and a long-term investment. Today is Hot On The Street’s 8th anniversary and I’d like to take this opportunity to show you how I built my brand in the last year.
