I spent the second half of my year discovering underrated movies and all-consuming miniseries. It’s also been comforting to have new seasons of Nobody Wants This, Abbott Elementary and My Life With The Walter Boys. All’s Fair is a standout new series as well. Not only does Kim Kardashian prove she’s a capable actor, but I also love how it focuses on divorce-related drama.
I’m happy that I’ve stayed consistent keeping track of what I’ve watched. Disney+ should really make a watch history feature – it’s long overdue! To avoid gatekeeping my favourite picks until the holiday season, I’m sharing a mid-year roundup of recommendations now.
Dying For Sex centres around Molly (Michelle Williams) pursuing her bucket list as a woman with stage four breast cancer. No matter how strange her sexual desires may seem, it’s satisfying to see her take control of how she spends her final days. Watching her character Jen Lindley die from a fatal heart condition in the Dawson’s Creek series finale was devastating. At least you’ll get to say goodbye this time.
