Ali Budd Embraces Luxury & Privacy On HGTV’s House Of Ali

I met Ali Budd in the lobby of a fancy hotel after a charity event in Toronto. I finally had a chance to chat about her career and new TV show House Of Ali on HGTV!

Ali Budd graduated from Western University like me with an English degree. (If you’re wondering about Ali Budd’s age, she’s in her early 40s!) I was curious about how her interest in reading might influence her design choices. She said that if she transformed a space based on a book or movie, she’d love to choose something dark and gruesome as inspiration. We joked about how much I love the Barbie Dream Suite at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal.

Ali Budd launched her business Ali Budd Interiors in 2010. With international recognition and an incredible portfolio, her accomplishments will definitely make you want to pursue your creative goals. If you want to upgrade your home office, she recommends decluttering and creating a simple, polished background for video chats.

She’s such a natural as a TV host! It’s fascinating to see how her team’s interior design projects come to life on her TV show House Of Ali. It was interesting to talk to Canada’s hottest interior designer about the dynamic of working with celebrity clients.

You may have seen bestselling author Jenny Mollen gush about Ali Budd’s new vacation home in Costa Rica and Ali Budd shared more details about how they connected in our chat. No matter how many clients, viewers or followers she gains, she said she’s most grateful for her lifelong friends and inner circle that never pops up on Instagram.
