I’m so excited to share my interview with Lindura who plays Sydney Shandon on Sullivan’s Crossing. Sydney has a key role in their close-knit community as Maggie’s best friend and Rob’s sister. It’s one of my favourite shows because it’s filmed and set in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I was born!
Onscreen and offscreen, she’s a gorgeous model. Lindura moderated a panel about fashion sustainability and this marks the first time I managed to switch places with a famous interviewer! It’s great connecting with a Canadian actress who’s my age – we both love visiting attractions with kids.
In our conversation, we covered everything from her relationships with the cast to her favourite hotspots in Halifax and New York. She shared what it’s like to work with Chad Michael Murray, Scott Patterson and Morgan Kohan. Here’s a snippet:
“Morgan is such an easy person to get along with. I just felt like this kindred spirit. She’s so lovely and easy to be around. And was very supportive of me as a new actor on season one, looking out for me and making sure I was feeling great about the scenes we were doing. The rekindling of our friendship is actually built into the script in a nice way. In a way, us getting to know each other in real life seemed to be like mirroring us getting to know each other as adults now in the show. It did feel like a very natural transition into this camaraderie. The bar scene where we get drunk and sing karaoke… That was such a fun scene to film. And I think moments like that make it very obvious who can be a real friend.”

Lindura stars in Sullivan’s Crossing, which airs on CTV and The CW. The show is based on novels by Robyn Carr who also inspired the hit series Virgin River. I can’t wait to see how the drama unfolds in season three!
