Raise Your Glass To Pink

Now I’ve officially seen every performer on my must-see list! Watching Pink on award shows convinced me she would be amazing and her Beautiful Trauma World Tour was even better than I imagined.

Between the costumes, acrobatics, dancing and special effects, it was a magical show and she performed for 2 hours! Not only did Pink wear red pants, but she also performed right in front of me and flew over my head, so we almost made eye contact.

When Pink opened the concert with Get This Party Started, I got a flashback to No Doubt’s reunion tour at the Scotiabank Arena. I wanted to see it because I grew up watching their music videos on MuchMusic. I felt the same way about Pink’s hit song. It brings back memories to the early 2000s and beyond. I remember dancing to So What in Kingston at a leadership conference and listening to Pink as I walked around downtown London. Speaking of No Doubt, Pink sang a quick cover of Just A Girl! The only song I really wish Pink sang was Don’t Let Me Get Me. Is it too old? You can find the full setlist here.

City and Colour fans were thrilled when Dallas Green appeared as a special guest. They sang 2 songs together: Unbeliever and You and Me. Pink called him her favourite Canadian. The biggest stars are full of surprises these days, but nothing will beat seeing Bryan Adams at Taylor Swift’s concert last year.

I came close to buying merchandise, but I didn’t love the graphics when I saw them up close. However, I appreciated that you could buy a tote bag or keychain at a reasonable price.

Pink is legendary and I was so lucky to see her live. She’s got spunk and her whole show was filled with pizazz. It felt as if I was watching a Vegas production while standing in Toronto. Raise your glass to Pink!
