Happy Canada Day!
Leading up to Canada’s 150th birthday, the Intercontinental Hotels Group asked Canadians to reveal and share their favourite destinations across the country. On Wednesday night, they revealed the top contenders and the contest winner on the patio of the Intercontinental Yorkville.
The party was hosted by Jennifer Valentyne, who you may know from watching Breakfast Television or listening to Q107. You know I can’t say no to an invitation to meet more Canadian talent! Meeting her was lovely and it was interesting to hear about locations I was unfamiliar with. You know I always plan ahead for Labour Day far in advance (hello, birthday weekend!), and now I will consider going to one of these places next.
Below are some of the Canadian hotspots that made the cut:
- Altona Sunsets, Manitoba
- Bonnechere Caves, ON
- Chelton Beach, PEI
- Emerald Lake, Yukon
- Ferryland Lighthouse, Newfoundland
- Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia
- Maligne Canyon, Alberta
- Cherry Hill Gate, Ontario
- Peak of ‘La Roche’, Quebec
- Quidi Vidi, Newfoundland
- Grassi Lakes, Alberta
- Spotted Lake, British Columbia
- The Red Boat, Nunavut
- University Bridge, Saskatchewan
- Nahanni National Park, Northwest Territories
